Our small business credit card processing gives Dahlonega shops and restaurants the POS systems, credit card terminals, and merchant services they need.

  • Take card payments: Let your customers pay however they want, tap, chip, swipe, or phone, whether they are a local, a student, or a visitor in for the wine. Fast, secure, and priced fairly.
  • Registers and card readers: The right setup for your square-side shop, your restaurant or cafe, your tasting room, or your winery.
  • Mobile and on the go: Perfect for wineries, tour operators, and festival and market vendors who need to take payment anywhere, not just at a counter.

About Dahlonega

Dahlonega sits in the North Georgia mountains where one of the nation's first gold rushes broke out around 1829, two decades before California. The federal government ran a branch mint here from 1838 until the Civil War, and the town still trades on that history: the 1836 former Lumpkin County courthouse on the public square is now the Dahlonega Gold Museum, and visitors still pan for gold at the Consolidated and Crisson mines just outside town.

Life centers on the historic Public Square, a walkable ring of shops, galleries, restaurants, and wine tasting rooms around the old courthouse, with the restored 1948 Holly Theatre nearby. Dahlonega is also a college town, home to the University of North Georgia, whose gold-spired Price Memorial Hall stands on the site of the old mint, and it bills itself as the heart of North Georgia wine country, with estate wineries like Wolf Mountain and Frogtown in the surrounding hills.

The trade is weekend-heavy and seasonal, drawing wine travelers, fall-foliage tourists, and university visitors, and it swells for the huge Gold Rush Days festival on the square each October, the spring Bear on the Square music festival, and the holiday Lighting of the Square. About an hour and change from Atlanta, it's a getaway rather than a suburb. For the shops, tasting rooms, and restaurants around the square, dependable card processing matters. We set up payments around how a gold-rush and wine-country town actually works.

Card processing for galleries, studios and shops

Dahlonega draws wine travelers, history buffs, hikers, and university families all year, and nearly all of them pay by card. Whether you run a shop on the square, a restaurant, a tasting room, or a winery, that visitor trade is a big part of your year. You should not lose part of it to hidden fees or get stuck on hold with a big processor that has never heard of Lumpkin County. We stay honest on price, simple on setup, and reachable by a real person who picks up.
