Payment Processing in Wimberley, TX
A clean, simple setup for galleries, studios, and tasting rooms, with portable readers for the markets and shows where you also sell.
Wimberley is a Hill Country town built around a square of independent boutiques and galleries, a monthly outdoor market of 490 booths, and a ring of wineries, a brewery and a distillery within a short drive. You get fair rates, no long contracts, and a real person who actually answers when you call.
What we set up for your shop
Our small business credit card processing gives Wimberley shops and restaurants the POS systems, credit card terminals, and merchant services they need.
- Set up credit card processing and POS systems for the boutiques, galleries and restaurants around the square.
- Handle mobile payments for market and festival vendors working a booth on cellular rather than a counter.
- Sort out merchant services for tasting rooms and lodging, including deposits taken ahead of a stay.
About Wimberley
Wimberley Square is the original town center and still the commercial one. Around two dozen independent boutiques, art galleries and antique shops circle it, mixed in with family-run restaurants, and the Second Saturday Gallery Trail keeps the galleries open late once a month with wine and something to eat. For a town this size that is a dense concentration of very small, owner-run retail.
The bigger commercial event is Market Days. On the first Saturday of every month from March through December it takes over Lions Field with 490 booths across 20 oak-shaded acres, which makes it the largest outdoor market in the Hill Country and the second largest flea market in Texas. That is several hundred separate sellers taking money on the same day, most of them out of a booth on grass, and people drive in from several states for it.
The drinks trade fills in the rest. Wimberley Valley Winery, Fall Creek Vineyards, Limestone Terrace and Driftwood Estate are within reach, along with Middleton Brewing and the Cypress Creek Reserve rum distillery. A tasting room takes a card at a bar, sells bottles to carry out and often takes a deposit for an event months ahead, which is three different kinds of transaction under one roof. The payment setups that suit a booth, a boutique and a tasting room are not the same, and the difference between them shows up on the statement rather than in the sales pitch.
Card processing for galleries, studios and shops
Wimberley businesses sell in two completely different settings, and a lot of them do both. There is the square, where a shop or a scratch kitchen takes cards at a fixed counter, and there is Market Days, where hundreds of vendors take money out of a booth on open ground with no wired connection anywhere near them. Those need different equipment and they price differently, and it helps to be set up for the one you actually do.

Get a Free QuoteQuestions about card processing for makers and shops
- We sell at Market Days out of a booth. What do we need?
- A handheld reader on cellular, tested on the field rather than at home. With 490 booths on the same ground, ask how the device behaves when the local network is loaded, and what it does with a transaction if it drops mid-sale.
- Does it cost more to take a card at the market than in the shop?
- Not because it is outdoors. What matters is whether the card is read by the device or the number is typed in. A tap or a chip read at the booth is priced the same way as one at your counter, and both beat a number keyed in afterwards.
- Are we locked into a multi-year contract if we sign up here in Wimberley?
- No. There are no multi-year contracts, so you're never stuck with us. We aim to keep you by earning it.
- How do I know you'll actually save me money over what I pay now?
- We show you real numbers side by side against your current statement. If we can't beat what you pay now, we'll tell you straight rather than waste your time.
